Today we will be speaking with one of Lithuania’s most popular artists, Jurgis Didziulis.
"I understand that my function in life has a lot to do with mixing my passion for social phenomenon and participative music. Emerging from the music industry, I would say maybe five, seven years ago, looking for new perspectives and new ways of using music from a transformative angle."
Jurgis has done a lot of exciting things during his career, and they’re not just limited to the music that has made him famous. Over the years he has represented Lithuania in Eurovision, released several albums but also has worked as a consultant to the EU and filmmaker.
As he describes himself, for the last 15 years he is using music to bring people together. In his performances and talks he explores topics such as value systems, credibility, motivation and how they affect one’s internal dynamics and external perceptions.
Questions addressed in our Interview:
How did Jurgis have found his voice?
How growing up in Columbia and the US shaped his personality?
What meaning National symbols bring?
What challenges Lithuania is facing today?
What is his dream for Lithuania's future?
